Spiralling Solo
Book three in the Spiralling Trilogy
Stephanie is determined to stand on her own. As she juggles finances and the strain of her past, her friendship with Tabbie begins to fracture.
Tabbie is facing her own heartbreak as she steps into her final year of school. The girls drift apart just when they need each other most, and find themselves unexpectedly attracted to Joey, the dancer who's suddenly not so awkward anymore.
As their lives spiral together and solo, Steph and Tabbie navigate loneliness, loss, love and temptation.
Before they can live out the desires of their hearts, each girl must first discover who she is.
Can they find their way before their friendship reaches breaking point?

I enjoyed this YA/coming of age novel about friendship on many levels. I enjoyed reading Australian English and trying to figure out what a doona was.

I haven't read the first book of this trilogy yet. This book is fully contained and I never felt I was lost or should have read the first book. I'm curious now to go back and read the first one. Evans really took me back to those incredibly painful teenage days when a best friend would be close as a sister one day, and then vanish from my life the moment she got a boyfriend. As an adult I enjoyed this, and I think for a teen who's going through a lot of these dating and friendship issues, it would be an intense but encouraging read.
